Supported in part by a grant from the Arkansas Humanities Council, the first tour in the series "Touring a Time" is the Little Rock Central High School 1957 Crisis. This tour is not comprehensive. It is an introduction into an era. The 1957 crisis was an important test of school desegregation.

These events made Little Rock Central High School hallowed ground in the Civil Rights movement. The Little Rock Central High National Historic Site continues as a functioning campus, while carrying on the story of nine courageous students determined to obtain equality.

Because this is AETN Education Division’s first virtual tour, we thought it would be fun to include on-location pictures with the ”Touring a Time” production team.
